OH MY GOD BEST DUMPLINGS EVER
Open in Google MapsWe came here mainly for the dumplings, and they were definitely the highlight. The soup dumplings are delicate and juicy, especially the pork xiao long bao, while the pan-fried juicy pork bao have a nice crispy bottom with plenty of flavorful filling inside. We also tried the dan dan noodles, which went well with the dumplings and made the meal more filling. There are quite a few choices if you want to mix things up, including spicy pork, beef, chicken, crab-and-pork soup dumplings, boiled dumplings, noodle soups, and several small plates. The restaurant has a casual, busy atmosphere, and you can see dumplings being made by hand behind the glass. Service moved quickly once we were seated. It can get crowded during peak hours, but the food makes the wait worthwhile.

My sister cannot eat gluten, so restaurant dinners usually mean she watches everyone else eat. Here, the kitchen prepared gluten-free versions she could enjoy safely — and they tasted genuinely good. A guest with restrictions should never feel like a burden, and this place makes sure of it.
Open in Google MapsThere’s something timeless about this place, from the airy dining room to the simple California-style cooking. It feels relaxed, but the food is taken seriously. The roast chicken for two is the signature dish and comes with a warm bread salad that soaks up all the flavorful juices. Oysters are also popular, and the menu usually includes fresh salads, seafood, and seasonal dishes that change throughout the year. Service is professional and friendly, and the meal is best enjoyed at an easy pace rather than rushed. The chicken takes time to prepare, but it’s worth ordering if you’re sharing.

3Brenda's French Soul Food
4.5 ★ · 6,423 · $$
652 Polk St, San Francisco, CA 94102, USA
Southern comfort food gets a New Orleans-style twist here, and the menu is packed with rich, satisfying dishes. It’s especially good when you’re in the mood for something hearty rather than light. The beignets are one of the first things worth ordering, with different fillings that make them more interesting than the classic version. The shrimp and grits, fried chicken, and crawfish dishes are also popular, and the portions are generous enough to share. Service is friendly and casual, and the restaurant usually has a lively brunch atmosphere. It can get busy, but the food is flavorful enough to make the wait worthwhile.
Open in Google MapsVisited on a weekday when not busy. Waitstaff supe-nice and attentive, the interior fun with the Cajun atmosphere. Unfortunately, the chicken felt overcooked and maybe even leftover from another day? The garlic butter beignets were overcooked and had almost no garlic butter, so they tasted pretty dry; the creole potato salad tasted awesome. Also, the drinks and wine are pretty limited. But we had a good time and the other menu items looked tasty.

Solo me comí un helado de yogurt. Estuvo bien.
Open in Google MapsIn a city where 3 Mediterranean restaurants have served me raw chicken this year, this place stands out as reliably good and particularly tasty.

Amazing food! The service and attention was also exceptional. And prices are very reasonable for such quality food.
Open in Google MapsOne of the best French restaurant meals I’ve had! We tried the French onion soup, escargot, duck, and mushroom crêpe. The soup was especially delicious—served piping hot with plenty of cheese and a perfectly golden crust on top. The duck was another highlight, easily one of the best I’ve tried, and very filling. The mushroom crêpe wasn’t quite to my taste, but everything else was delicious. Overall, a wonderful meal, and I’d definitely come back for the French onion soup and duck!

Honestly wouldn’t return. . There’s far better restaurants with less hype here. 2/4 dishes were good and cocktail “Pete’s “ was ok. Vibe was nice but honestly think the food is overhyped. We had the doughnuts (would pass) & squash Brie to start (also would pass) and then the mains were great (ribeye and black cod.)
Open in Google MapsWe got the porcini mushrooms, the beef dumplings, steak cooked medium, some sort of pasta. My friend got the milk wash drink. It was alright. Will not be returning.
